About the Artist:
Dave Snook is a Houston based photographer and founder of 8th Man Photography. His work spans performance art, portraiture, sports, and fine art photography, with a focus on intensity, movement, and human connection.
Dave grew up on military bases across the United States and abroad. Every male member of his father’s family has served in the military since the Civil War. Dave continued that tradition, serving eight years as a tank commander in the Texas Army National Guard. His father, an Army helicopter pilot and Vietnam veteran, was recently laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
A former rugby player and coach, Dave has spent more than a decade photographing the sport, including the Houston SaberCats, USA Rugby, and college teams. He is internationally published and a Nikon USA Professional Member. Across every subject, Dave looks for the moments that reveal something about the person in front of his camera.
