About the Artist:
Artist, Writer, Teacher. I was raised in an Air Force family and born at Tachikawa Air Base, Japan after the Korean War. California is my home state. After twenty years of military service throughout the U.S., Europe, Korea, and the Middle East for ODS/S, I landed in Virginia where my life led me on a new journey. A life on a long road to recovery, healing, self-acceptance, and forgiveness. I reconnected to a love of drawing and writing. These days, I enjoy designing art classes and teaching to introduce emerging artists to the gift of honing their creative style and individual insights for the Lifelong Learning Society, Christopher Newport University. Sharing the experience of making, creating, and discovering the magic of inspiration in front of an easel, on the blank page with other artists is restorative as much as it is illuminating.
