About the Artist:
Born in Louisiana with one foot in urban city life while the other foot was in the swamps. Scotty Ramsey apprenticed to be a tattoo artist in 2000 but after the events of 9/11 he had an urge to serve his country in a combat role in the Army. He became a tanker, 19k, and was a part of the expeditionary force in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2008 Scotty exited the Army with an honorable discharge as a sergeant. Tattooing and art in general was always his passion so he went right back to being a tattoo artist full time. After settling in Arlington Texas he decided to go to art school at the Art Institute of Dallas and studied fine art, animation, digital art, and graphic design. Nowadays he enjoys his time with his family on their small homestead in rural north Texas while tattooing in south Oklahoma. Scotty has illustrated labels for products shipped around the world, featured in tattoo magazines and published work in two books - “Tattoos of War vol 3” and “Your Call is Important to Us”.
