Valerie Ling

Serving in the United States Air Force has been an important part of my life and helped shape the person I am today. My military experience taught me the importance of serving something greater than myself. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach challenges and the way I express myself creatively.

Art has always held a special place in my life. I have a deep appreciation for all forms of artistic expression. I especially enjoy creating sculptures, wood burning, and photography. Creating art is much more than a hobby. It is both relaxing and therapeutic. It allows me to focus on creativity while setting aside the stresses of everyday life.

My Air Force service and my passion for art are important parts of who I am. The Air Force strengthened my determination and sense of purpose, while art provides personal fulfillment. These experiences have taught me strength and imagination and to continue finding beauty, meaning, and inspiration in the world around me.
